BACKGROUND
Cobalto is a reflection on eroticism. The original idea explicitly expressed the desire to avoid clichés and to address the issue from the perspective of its abstract psychological process.

TITLE
“Blue is holy and pornographic, demure and obscene. Cobalt blue is the ultimate example of this bipolarity. Cobalt blue is, of all colours, that of the hidden tradition, of the unconscious story.”
Albert Gonzalo – text

MUSIC
Cobalto is a piece written for organ. The instrument is used without reference to its cultural and musical tradition. The different registers and mechanisms were treated with special attention: trackers sound, keys pressed halfway, the sound of the stop knobs and combination system and on and off of the electric wind system.

Organ, using extended playing techniques, and electronics
